BIG CHANGES UNDERWAY AT DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE® PARK
More Disney stories and magic are coming to Disney California Adventure® Park! The Paradise Pier® area of the park has been transformed into a seaside paradise full of new and enhanced attractions. The park entrance is currently being transformed and will soon allow guests to travel back in time to the romance and excitement of 1920s Los Angeles. And, if you listen carefully, you just might hear the revving of engines out behind the current boundaries of the park where the finishing touches are being put on the new Cars Land, scheduled to open in 2012.
Buena Vista Street
When a young and energetic Walt Disney stepped off the train from Kansas City in 1923, he discovered a bustling Los Angeles filled with pedestrian boulevards, charming shops, tantalizing restaurants and shining Red Car Trolleys. And now the new entrance to Disney California Adventure® Park (Buena Vista Street) sends you back in time to an version of a city that has always been a beacon of bright optimism and new opportunity. The Carthay Circle Theatre, where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered, will anchor the new plaza. It's the perfect place to start your own California adventure!
Cars Land
Blending the magic of Disney stories and characters, the legendary adventure and excitement of Route 66, and California's celebrated car culture, Cars Land recreates the memorable town of Radiator Springs just as it appeared in the Disney·Pixar animated classic, Cars.
Welcome to a town built for, and by, cars. All the locals are home including Lightning McQueen, Sally, Mater, Doc and their friends. The whole city is recreated in pefect detail, complete with three new attractions. You'll float on Luigi's Flying Tires, dance to Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and rocket through the desert on Radiator Springs Racers.
NOW OPEN... STAR TOURS: THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES The power of the Force and the magic of Disney combine once again to create an unforgettable new Star Wars experience in Star Tours: The Adventures Continue 3-D! This deep-space flight simulator features light-speed travel to galaxies, far, far away.
Join the Rebellion and climb in to the Starspeeder 1000 with old friends C-3PO and R2-D2, along with new additions Star Tours Pilot "Ace" AC-38 and Spokesbot Aly San San. When you board, several different journeys await. You might take flight in a Tatooine podrace or weave through the city planet of Coruscant. You could find yourself on the run from Boba Fett or meeting Princess Leia. You'll never know which characters and worlds you will encounter. But, Beware! Darth Vader could attempt to create a disturbance in the Force. A showdown may be inevitable. Hopefully, the Force will be with you. This exciting attraction can be found in the Disneyland® Park.
NOW OPEN... ARIEL'S UNDERSEA ADVENTURE Prepare to be magically transported "under the sea" in this brand-new attraction, where you truly become part of Ariel's world.
Dive below the waves and into the amazing sights and delightful sounds of an all-new attraction inspired by the clasic film. Sing along with Sebastian and Flounder, but keep an eye out for the evil Ursula and her hapless henchman, Flotsam and Jetsam. This exciting attraction can be found in Disney's California Adventure™ Park.
NOW OPEN...GOOFY'S SKY SCHOOL With Goofy as your flight instructor, you know you're in for a wild ride! Inspired by his "How To" cartoon series of the 1940s and 1950s, Goofy offers lessons in barnstorming on this classic coaster.
DISNEY'S WORLD OF COLOR The World of Color nighttime water spectacular weaves water, color, fire and light into a kaleidoscope of fantasy and imagination. More than 1,000 jets of water form incredible shapes in time to the music as Disney characters come to life on a shimmering veil of mist. Be immersed in this dazzling new dimension of magic at Disney California Adventure® Park.
Viewing Areas / Special Dining Packages:
The Paradise Park viewing area is made up of large, open terraces that provide panoramic views of World of Color. Before show set-up, it's a great place to sit back and relax. On warm days, kids can cool off in the park's wet play area, but keep in mind, shoes are required. There are also special dining packages available including lunch and dinner selections at the Wine Country Trattoria or a picnic option, all with preferred viewing included.
Disney's FASTPASS® Service:
Disney's FASTPASS Service provides first-come, first-served tickets to same day showtimes for World of Color. Tickets are available when the park opens at the Grizzly River Run attraction FASTPASS service machines. Insert your scanned theme park admission ticket into the machine to obtain your Disney's FASTPASS ticket printed with showtime, viewing area and return time. As with other Disney's FASTPASS attractions, a limited number of tickets are available and guests will not be able to select a specific showtime. At your designated return time, bring your Disney's FASTPASS ticket with you to Paradise Park where Cast Members will direct you to the color-coded viewing area indicated on your ticket. Wheelchair accessible locations and designated areas for Disney's handheld devices are located throughout the viewing area. For assistance, please see a Cast Member at Paradise Park.
NOW SHOWING... ElecTRONica Plug in and assimilate into the virtual world of TRON: Legacy, the popular Walt Disney Pictures' film. Each night, this high-energy street festival ignites Hollywood Pictures Backlot with fun for the whole family.
Welcome to the Grid
Enter ElecTRONica and emerge digitized. Journey under the Recognizer and get swept into The Grid, where a live D.J. spins techno and dance music. This exciting attraction can be found in Disney California Adventure® Park.
Watch Sirens groove to the beats of Daft Punk and others, while digitally projected Lightcycles zoom around you.
Face off with enemies and allies at Flynn's Arcade.
Try incandescent concoctions at the End of Line club.
Be amazed by an eclectic array of street performers, including laser and martial artists.
TOY STORY MANIA!
Take aim and ride this new 4-D attraction inspired by Disney·Pixar's Toy Story films. Grab your spring-action shooter and zero in on moving targets with virtual darts, pies and even eggs. All along the way, some of your favorite Toy Story Characters will cheer you on! It's a truly enjoyable attraction for children of all ages and can be found at Disney California Adventure® Park.
