From the moment you step onto Main Street, U.S.A., you’re immersed in the sights,
sounds, and even smells of an early American small town in the 1900s. Some may feel like they’ve
stepped back in time. For others, it’s as if they’re actors who have stepped onto the set of a
movie. Either way, you’re under the spell of a master showman. For Walt Disney’s intention was to
transport you far away from where you were when you entered Disneyland®.
Located in the Main Street Opera House, you'll find the new show Disneyland®, The First
50 Magical Years, a brand new attraction that gives you an exclusive behind-the-magic look
at how Disneyland® park came to be. Find out secrets as you view never-before-seen artwork, models and designs
of the park. Get a rare glimpse of Disneyland® attractions that were never built. And finally, take a light-hearted
look at 50 years of Disneyland® history in a fun film hosted by Steve Martin.
Hop aboard an old-time streetcar pulled by a pampered Percheron or Belgian draft horse. Their
hooves are padded with polyurethane for better traction and a soft clip-clop sound. You’ll wish
the trip was more than a one-way jog. The Horse-Drawn Streetcars pick up in Town Square and near
Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
All aboard! Relax, have a seat. Let the Disneyland Railroad, featuring the iron horses of
yesteryear, do the walking. This is the best way to get a quick overview of the eight lands plus
a peek at Disney’s own Grand Canyon and Primeval World. All in 20 minutes. Hop off or on these
working steam trains at the Main Street U.S.A., New Orleans Square, Mickey’s Toontown, or
Tomorrowland stations.
