Disney's Vacation Protection Plan provides low-cost coverage designed to protect you in the
event your Disneyland® vacation is cancelled or interrupted.
A description of the coverage plan has been included below:
Coverage Includes:
- Trip Cancellation and Interruption - Covers you up to the total cost of the trip if you must cancel or interrupt your trip due to certain covered reasons. Coverage for the following is also included: 1) Airfare purchased as part of a package, through IneedaVacation.com or on your own (except if your flight is changed, cancelled or delayed by airline). 2) Employee termination or layoff through no fault of your own after the effective date of coverage if you are an active employee with the same employer for at least one year (this coverage is not available to residents of Washington and Pennsylvania). 3) Being called into active military duty or having your leave revoked within 10 days of departure date.
- $600 Trip Delay - Reimburses you up to $200 a day for reasonable additional expenses (meals and lodging) due to trip delays.
- $2,000 Baggage and Personal Effects - Covers items that are lost, stolen (including your passports and visas) or damaged during your vacation.
- $500 Baggage Delay - If your bags are delayed more than 24 hours, you'll be reimbursed for the essentials.
- $10,000 Sickness Medical & $10,000 Accident Medical Expenses - Primary coverage pays for doctor, hospital, ambulance services and prescription medication. No daily limits or deductibles. Pre-existing Medical Condition Exclusion is waived when the Plan is purchased prior to final trip payment. You must be medically able to travel at the time insurance is purchased.
- $20,000 Emergency Medical Transportation - Provides coverage for emergency evacuation and repatriation of remains, medical transport and complete case handling to ensure that your family is taken care of properly.
- $25,000 Medical Expenses - Accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
- Live Travel & Travel Guard Assistance -A 24-hour direct service hotline staffed by trained travel counselors who are there 24 hours a day to help you with emergency travel, medical assistance services, tracking lost luggage and more.
*Price is per adult. Children ages 17 and under are included when all adults on a booking purchase the insurance. If you choose to purchase this insurance coverage, you must do so by no later than your final payment due date. A schedule of your coverage will be sent to you with the confirmation of your package. Coverage may be purchased up to the time of final payment and becomes effective upon receipt of the payment of the premium. Your certificate of insurance will be included in your travel documents. Insurance is non-refundable once a deposit has been applied to your package.
